What drew you to coaching, and what led you specifically to contrast therapy and breathwork?

I’ve always been curious about what the body is capable of. I love movement, performance, training, and finding ways to challenge myself, but over time I’ve learned that constantly pushing is only half the equation. Recovery, slowing down, and learning how to regulate yourself matter just as much.Free diving was a big part of that journey for me. It introduced me to breathwork in a really tangible way and showed me how much can change when you learn to stay calm in a situation that initially feels uncomfortable. That curiosity eventually led me to contrast therapy. What I love about all of it is that you don’t need to be an athlete or some kind of cold plunge superhero to benefit from it. The body is incredibly adaptable, and I still find it pretty amazing how quickly we can surprise ourselves when we give it the chance.

What’s one misconception people have about cold plunging or sauna sessions that you’d like to correct?

That it’s all about suffering. There’s no prize for going colder or staying longer. Some days will feel easier than others, and that’s part of it. The real practice is learning to breathe, stay present, and meet yourself where you’re at that day.

What’s a moment with a client that’s stuck with you, or a visible before and after in how they showed up?

I’ve had countless incredible experiences with people, and I feel really privileged to be part of those moments. What always sticks with me is watching someone arrive carrying stress, nerves, or things they didn’t even realize they were holding onto, and then seeing something shift.Sometimes it’s a deep breath, sometimes it’s a laugh, and sometimes it’s simply that little moment of, “Oh, I’ve got this.” I love getting to witness that.

What would you say to someone who’s curious but intimidated to try their first session?

Release the expectations. You don’t need to hit a certain temperature or time, and you definitely don’t need to prove anything to anyone. Just show up, breathe, and explore what feels right for you that day. You might surprise yourself.

What makes the Tevah community different from other studios or gyms you’ve worked at?

There’s a really unique openness at Tevah. People come in for all kinds of reasons, whether it’s recovery, performance, stress, connection, or simply wanting an hour to themselves. There’s a shared sense that everyone is there to grow in their own way, and people genuinely support each other in doing that. It feels welcoming without taking itself too seriously, which I love.

What’s your favorite part of a typical day coaching at Tevah?

Watching the shift. Someone can walk in carrying their whole day with them, and an hour later they’re breathing differently, moving differently, laughing, chatting, and looking a little lighter.Getting to be part of that never really gets old.

Finish the sentence: “You’ll know Tevah is working for you when…”

You’ll know Tevah is working for you when you start to notice it outside the studio too. When you can come back to yourself a little faster, handle life a little calmer, and feel more like the person you want to be.
